Hand Tool Program Commits to American Jobs, Promises Quality and Performance Tradesmen Can Trust

SYCAMORE, ILLINOIS (June 22, 2015) -- Nick Shkordoff, Group Vice President and General Manager of IDEAL Electrical today announced the launch of WireMan™ Linesman’s Pliers, which is set to kick-off the blue-collar company’s Made-in-America hand tool program.

“We deliver professional electricians trusted precision, speed and efficiency for wire stripping, bending, gripping and cutting,” said Shkordoff. “We make the best, ergonomically-designed equipment at the tightest tolerances.”

The new pliers utilize IDEAL Electrical Smart-Grip™ technology, providing electricians with handles that are resistant to perspiration, water, oil and chemicals, according to Shkordoff. “The precision-machined cutting blade design requires 7 percent less hand force to cut wire* compared to competing pliers, and it’s diamond-pattern, crosshatched nose grabs wire without damage even to fine strands.”

With black oxide frames that are hot forged and a rugged design, the IDEAL Electrical WireMan™ Linesman’s Pliers are the true workhorse of electrical pliers, providing exceptional durability and easy cutting for a lifetime of professional use.

“IDEAL Electrical pliers are crafted with American steel in the U.S.A. to deliver the quality and performance professional electricians demand,” said Shkordoff. “We own and operate premier forging facilities in Colorado Springs and our manufacturing and distribution center in Sycamore, Illinois.”

The WireMan™ Linesman’s Pliers are the first of many tools to be introduced under the new hand tool program as IDEAL Electrical begins merging both their WireMan™ and Laser Edge™ lines into one.

“At a time when many companies are taking manufacturing jobs overseas, our commitment to American-made quality and homegrown manufacturing has never been stronger,” said Shkordoff.
